Sam Okyere

You probably have seen the Ghanian TV personality Sam Okyere on many varieties including Abnormal Summit and Real Men Season 2.

He furthered his studies in Korea after he received the Korean Government Scholarship Program in 2009. He grew liking and hoped to be in the Korean entertainment industry after he acted as an extra in a Korean drama, watching Hello Counsellor with his friends on set, and was invited to perform a live comedy skit in Gag Concert.

He made a big break by being the cast of Abnormal Summit where he had in-depth discussions with other foreign guests about culture (including his home country), relationships, family, and many more. In one of the panel discussions, he opened up about racism while living in South Korea.

He appeared as guests in Infinite Challenge and I Can See Your Voice 4. Alongside his buddy Sam Hammington, they show the unique destinations of Seoul in Battle Trip. He even has his own radio show at local radio station, tbs efm, and running his own juice bar ‘My Juice Shop’ at Pangyo!

He is definitely an all-rounded entertainer with an enthusiastic and kind-hearted personality.

Hailing from Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Muhamad Khalid Ismail came to South Korea for work in 2007. Earlier this year, he was invited to be the special guest for Abnormal Summit. During the discussions with other foreign panel members, he also talked about his beautiful home country.

He introduced Malaysia’s iconic sights and popular food (including nasi lemak!). How he explains so well in Korean and being knowledgeable about Malaysia will leave you in amazed.

His major appearance in one of the most popular Korean varieties led him to gain many fans around the world including Malaysia! He was also interviewed by the local media during his visit in Malaysia.

He and his wife, Lee Seul, post about their daily lives in Korea and Malaysia in their Instagram profile.

Sam Hammington

New Zealand-born Australian comedian Sam Hammington made waves in the Korean entertainment industry after his debut in Real Men where he went through hardcore training as a military soldier. His passion and commitment for this show led him to win the Best Male Newcomer in Show/Variety at 2013 MBC Entertainment Awards.

His fame rose through his appearance as guests in Happy Together, 2 Days 1 Night, Infinite Challenge and Battle Trip.

In 2016, he and his cute son William Hammington became the main cast of The Return of Superman. Look how adorable the father and son are! You will be amazed by Sam’s fatherly side while he takes care of his son. He also announced that his second son was born last month. Maybe we will be seeing Sam’s loveable sons in this show!

Belgian Julian Quintart is the ‘jack of all trades’ in the Korean entertainment industry – a TV personality, an actor, a record producer, a DJ, and a radio host!

He started discovering the wonders of Korea through Korea Today (such as hiking in Korea, living in a traditional Hanok house, making kimchi, and cycling across Korea) in 2012. From there, he was given the opportunity to appear on TV and films including his guest appearances in popular varieties.

He is also the cast of Abnormal Summit, too! He brought his fellow panels to his home country, Belgium, in Where is My Friend’s Home. He went through tough training as a member of the Navy NCO in Real Men 2. Together with his friend Fabian Yoon, they run a radio show The Qube where talk about music, history, and sports.

He is skilful and knowledgeable in different areas (physically and mentally) that he is one of the most-talked about foreign celebrities in Korean varieties.

Frenchman Fabien Yoon had is first experience of acting in 2008 Korean drama East of Eden, alongside popular actor Song Seung-hoon. His love for Korean culture started with taekwondo which he learned at the age of 5. He made it to the French national team.

His passion grew stronger as he went on a backpacking trip around South Korea in 2007. From there he decided to stay. His hard work in learning Korean and the culture led him to appear on TV and films in both Korean and English.

Some of his notable appearances include medical drama Dr Jin (2012), movie Fashion King (2014), his own cooking show My Little Kitchen (2014), and reality TV show I Live Alone. His fame grew bigger thanks to his guest appearances in Running Man, Happy Together, and Cool Kiz on the Block.

With his handsome looks, talented showmanship and cooking skills, he is every fan girl’s dream guy.

These foreign celebrities are versatile and outstanding – they are knowledgeable on diverse topics, they variety skills are spot on, and they speak Korean fluently!
